PEER TO PEER VIRTUAL LEARNING SESSIONS 2025
Facility Engagement (FE) is excited to offer several peer-to-peer learning opportunities for 2025 for physicians, MSA administrators, and health authority partners (unless otherwise stated*).
This virtual learning series is CPD accredited and shares successful FE projects and initiatives from across British Columbia related to the topics of physician leadership, communications, and recruitment and retention. Click below to register for the following sessions.

Communications – Part 1: Key Messaging & Difficult Conversations

The session will be led by Jim Beatty, who is a former journalist and has worked in media for over 26 years and now specializes in strategic and crisis communications as well as government relations. It is designed specifically for physicians, and will focus on developing strong communication skills that help in variety of situations - engaging colleagues during MSA meetings, sticking to key messages during strategic conversations with partners, as well as responding to difficult questions.

A Primer for FE Physicians Exploring Quality Improvement

Hosted by Facility Engagement and Island Health: Island Health MSA + administrators + health authorities are invited to attend.
This virtual learning series is a collaboration between Island Health Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) and FE to optimize MSA QI expertise and understanding of data requests/access for FE QI-related work. Participants can choose to attend one or more of the following webinars and topics.
- Feb. 12 - Defining Problems in QI Using Effective Methodology: Develop clear, actionable problem statements and discover resources for QI training and Facility Engagement (FE) funding to support your projects. Disclosure Statement Summary
